Inholland Composites goes automation

On June 6th, we (students of Mechanical Engineering (Alkmaar) and Aeronautics (Delft) and staff members of IC) visited Airborne Composites Automation (http://www.airborne.com/composites-automation/). In this brand new collaborative center, ACA develops tools for automated production of composites. Anders Brødsjø (5^th from left) composite expert with Airborne since 15 years, explained to us the new capabilities of the Airborne Group and strategy of ACA, and also showed us Airborne’s Ypenburg manufacturing facilities including the cleanroom and large autoclave.

 

After lunch, the visitors moved to Inholland Composites Delft, where Arnold Koetje and Moiz Rehman showed them the manufacturing and testing tools used in education and applied research projects.
